Wellness & Recovery Program

The Wellness & Recovery (W&R) Program provides the opportunity for people using Archway Services to come together with their peers and participate in activities that promote wellness, recovery, community integration and the development of a strong support network. The program works in conjunction with other adult services provided at Archway.

 

The Wellness & Recovery Center is located at 121 Memorial Avenue Cumberland, MD and is open Monday – Friday from 9:00am to 1:30pm. Staff provide informational and local resource presentations at the Center along with individualized community integration opportunities, with support from center staff for members of Archway Station.

Center services are designed to:

  • Support recovery, health, & well-being of each person
  • Enhance quality of life
  • Reduce symptoms and build resilience
  • Restore and/or improve functionality
  • Promote good nutrition
  • Support the integration of the person into the community

Archway participates in the MSDE Adult Food Program which provides service users snacks and lunches that meet the federal guidelines for healthy choices, variety of foods and portion sizes.

Cooked lunches and a salad bar are served on-site three days per week and packed cold lunches are served off-site two days per week.

Other snacks are available for purchase at the Center store with an emphasis on the healthy snacks.
